It is hereby the mission of the Historic East Side Neighborhood Association to:

1. protect and promote the best interests of the residents of the neighborhood association;
2. promote and strive for the improvement and betterment of all its public facilities and services;
3. promote and encourage a better community and civic spirit;
4. foster goodwill and friendship between and among all the residents of the area;
5. preserve and promote the history and historical character of the neighborhood; and
6. to cooperate with county and city officials and with other civic organizations, for the general welfare of the entire community of Ypsilanti.
